The Zoo and a visit from Mary

I have been slacking on blog posts, so here is two in one. On May 21st, we went to the zoo and the boys of course loved it! They walked almost the entire way and by the end, they both asked to sit in the stroller. Music to my ears!

Dad and the boys checking out the elephants.
There is a Jungle Trail at the zoo and a rope bridge...the boys had fun going across it.Josh trying to get closer to the animals.
Will is growing up so fast! Since he had just gotten his stitches out, he had to wear a hat all day and was very good about it.

Gotta love this guy!

They are so cute together! Two peas in a pod...and we'll have a third one way too soon!
Mary also came to visit us and I was horrible about taking pictures. One day we got the sprinklers out and the boys loved it, mostly. Will wanted us to make the water warmer. They still had a good time for a while.

Josh kept running around holding Will's shoes.
Will running across the yard.
Josh having fun.
Seeing who could stay in it the longest.
Handsome boy.
Racing around.
Having lunch outside. Oh the carefree days of being a kid.

Will's Tough Lesson

Will learned a very valuable lesson yesterday...never run into a door...the door ALWAYS wins.

Last night Will was goofing around and ran/bounced into the corner of a door. His forehead split open and blood was gushing everywhere. Randy was still at work so I grabbed Will, brought him into the bathroom, and called Randy frantically telling him that Will needed stitches. Luckily, Randy works only 5 mins away so he was home quickly and was able to help. To make a long story short, after a trip to Urgent Care with Dad and two stitches later, Will is back to his energetic self.

We forgot to take a pre stitches picture, but here he is after he got the stitches. He was a very brave boy and didn't even cry when they put the stitches in! Oh and yes he does have a line down his forehead/cheek from where he ran into the door.
Here are a couple of picture from today when we put on a new bandaid.

Will in the waiting room, waiting for his forehead to numb before they put the stitches in.

This is after the stitches. He was very happy about his popsicle.
